With an aim to nurture the young budding talents and give them a platform Sikkim Aakraman Football Club is organising a week long Football Summer Camp, 2019 for boys and girls of under 18 and below at Tashi Namgyal Academy, Football ground from July 13-20.
The camp will not only have physical training but will also have counselling for physical and mental knowledge, informed Jijmee Singey, President, Sikkim Aakraman FC.
He said, “We believe we need to reach and improve from grassroots by focusing on fundamental and basics of the young budding talents. This is because the progress of a professional football players fundamental and basics are essential without which one cannot progress”.
The package of the camp includes Audio visual sessions, interactive sessions with prominent football players and counselling from them.
Karma Phintso Wangdi, Vice President Of Sikkim Aakraman FC said, “As now we are registered club, we are moving towards professionalism with the next target of sending our youngster to Indian League for which we have emphasized the focus towards the age group of 15-17 years”.
Since the club is growing, it is searching for the raw talent to guide and give direction to reach national levels, informed Tanam Subba, Spokesperson, Sikkim Aakraman FC.
